Celebrating Western heritage through books and creative projects.
Independent publishing rooted in Montana’s Golden Triangle — every book, article, and project comes from firsthand research into the people and places of the Northern Great Plains.
I’m Dee Dee, a Montana writer, publisher, researcher, and creative entrepreneur with a passion for preserving the stories, history, culture, and character of the American West. Through Dumb Dog Entertainment, I create books, articles, newsletters, and other projects that celebrate rural life, local history, practical knowledge, and the people who keep small communities alive.
This website serves as the central hub for everything I create. Here you’ll find books published under Dumb Dog Entertainment, merchandise offered through Dryland Provisions, articles and commentary, updates from Prairie Dust News, and information about current and future projects.
My work is inspired by the landscapes, traditions, and the independent spirit of Montana’s Golden Triangle and the Northern Great Plains. Whether I’m creating puzzle books, writing about regional history, developing educational resources, or exploring the challenges and opportunities facing rural America, my goal is to produce content that informs, entertains, and preserves stories that might otherwise be forgotten.
If you enjoy Western heritage, local history, rural culture, practical living, creative projects, and independent publishing, you’re in the right place.
Thank you for visiting. I invite you to explore the site, subscribe to Prairie Dust News, follow the YouTube channel, and join me as Dumb Dog Entertainment continues to grow.
